Can anyone help? I have an (oldish) JVC TV 28” the picture is too big for the screen and I have tried every thing to fix it to no avail. And yes I have accessed the settings menu using the remote control.

you'll need to give a lot more information but it sounds like whatever you are feeding the TV with is in the wrong mode. Go in to it's menus (not the TV) and change the picture settings, they are probably 4:3, set them to 16:9.

Thanks for answering, I have done that the settings on my sky box are ok. It is a TV problem, the picture is just too big. It seems to be zoomed but the zoom setting just makes it bigger when i try to adjust it.

sounds like the TV isn't in 16:9 then, or it is set to overscan?
hard to say without seeing the menu options of the tv.
