Is this likely to be any good?

What does this mean? The inner barrel is just in half way inside the outer barrel, so you better buy a longer inner barrel for it!

Finally, what scope(s) would be appropriate?

have a look on ehobby for the A&K one, i've no idea what power level its at though so it might need downgrading.,

The JG isn't even close to a replica of a dragunov just so you know, its just an ak47 receiver with a long barrel and dragunov furniture, its nothing like a dragunov.

You want a replica, A&K do a spring version, meant to be the best for sniping, as above, would need a downgrade, or CA and Real Sword have replicas out, Real Sword is the best by far, buts costs more than the CA, which is of unknown quality.

You won't get a proper dragunov replica for too cheap, not a semi-auto one, but the A&K is very affordable.

I see what you mean about the JG. This is one beautiful looking piece. Pity about the price tag :-(
