Birth Cert Translation

    Bonjour! :D

    I'm going on Erasmus to France for a year and I hear it is recommended that you get your birth cert translated into french before you go. Anybody know where I might be able to get this done in Dublin? Been searching on google a bit but it has been fruitless.

    On m'a fait la traduction au service culturel, Ambassade de France en Irlande, Kildare Street mais il y a longtemps - dans les années quatre-vingt-dix. Je ne sais pas s'ils le font toujours.

    I had to have mine translated 2 years ago for a job, got it done at the Sandford Language Institute. Cost me €40 to get my short birth cert done.

    They saw you coming, honestly just do it yourself, I did that and I wasn't asked any questions. Just make sure there are no mistakes in it.

    not really, they insisted on the translation coming from a recognised translator with proof included, otherwise they wouldn't let me sign my contract.

    Well I translated mine myself and it was a government agency and they didn't say anything.
    Depends on who is asking I suppose :)

    €40-60 quid is a minimum charge for most translation companies.
    I can't believe you have not been able to find a certified freelance translator online, did you not check the Certified translator register at the Irish Translators Association website? :)

    Google Daniele Tort in Ranelagh. She did our translation for our wedding.
