having problems with drum volumes when converting from MIDI to WAV

    Hi there,

Having some problems with adjusting the volume of the drums on track 10.
I can change the volume of the drums in the MIDI file and it plays as I have set it.

I save the updated MIDI file and the adjustment in volume appears to have been saved (when I play the saved MIDI its fine) but when I convert the MIDI to WAV and play it the drum's are back to the original volume.

This only appears to happen with the drums, all other instruments are fine.

    Does anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks!

Midi volume and audio volume are two different things,..Maybe adjust the velocity as opposed to the volume in your midi sequencer..(and yeah, itd help if we knew what sampler/sequencer you were talking about)..

Are you sure that the instruments are panned correctly, and are you using the same soundbank to create the wave file as you are to edit it? might be worth saying what software you are using to do each.

What are you using to play back the MIDI file?
Is it a MIDI file you've downloaded?

To change the volume, you'll have to go in to the MIDI data and change it there, the setting is at the beginning of each track along with program and controller changes. How you do this depends on what software you're using to play back the file. Some treat MIDI and audio levels separately, some don't.
