Hey, just thought I'd post this in here as I frequently lurk the forum itself.

Thinking about depositing actually real life money tonight and just have a few questions for yee and wondering if any of you more experienced players have a few valuable tips for me! :)

PKR: This is the medium I'm most used to (have Bwin aswell but don't use it as much!), plus, PKR seems to be offering good deals now in that for a deposit of $10, they'll match you $10 and give you 1500PKR points (used to enter ome tournys instead of cash). Anyone have any experience with them!?? Are they any good?

Money: How much should I be looking to deposit first time round? I plan on keeping it to a minimum and playing low stakes and seeing if I can build myself a wee pot of gold! Advice?

Currency: Hows that work depositing $10 from my account which is obviously in €'s!?

And lastly and tips on anything would be brilliant!

    Cheers lads,

    :)

Stop right now , turn around and go and have a pint, it's far better value for money

    First off, welcome.

Read most of this and all of these before you get kicking.

Look at the bonus whoring thread in particular for first time deposits and other than that good luck.

If your only starting out in Poker in general, you should find a game and stick to it. 10 man sit and go's are the easiest place to start off imo as you can make a profit by following a very simple strategy of just playing really tight early and loosening up as the blinds increase. You could probably beat the $5 sngs pretty easily by getting down basic sng strategy. Next easiest way to make a profit is by just playing as tight as a ducks arse at Full ring cash games at the micro stakes. I think a $100 dollars would be a decent size deposit for a beginner that intended playing $5 sngs.

    Good luck!

    .

    1. don't jump stakes even if you are crushing the lower stakes. Stick to the same stake for a month and evaluate your month after that.

    2. start marking players from the offset.

    3. Try and know when is the right time to start/stop. Hard to explain how to do this but if you can master it you'll do well.

    4. post a few hands here so we can help you out.

    5. Run good

    6. Good luck;)
