Dboys scar upgrades?

    Hi All

I am new to the airsoft scene but after my first outing I was hooked and decided to purchase an AEG asap. I decided on the Dboys scar and it arrived this week and I brought it along to a night shoot at green zone combat where it preformed pretty well. It was chronoed at 320 - 330 fps which is a little low from what I,ve read about the gun. Now on to my point... I would like to upgrade the gun to increase the range and possibly the fps without spending a fortune. I am happy to do the work myself and would be comfortable stripping a gearbox but having no experience of available parts and suppliers, was hoping to rely on you combined experience. Sorry for the long post:)

the legal limit in ireland is 1j this would come out at 328fps with .20g bb, so an increase in fps would be the last thing you need :)

well never heard of the site myself so it did cross my mind but of course any talk of >1j is not allowd on boards so the only upgrades i could recommend is new hop bucking and and agood quality 9.6v battery for increased rof

Yeah mate, for upgrades over 1 joule if you are in anther country, try arnies airsoft forums, its UK based.

Just throw it into google, in Ireland the legal limit is 1 joule, and this is an irish airsoft site.

did a quick search for the site http://www.greenzonecombat.com/ , as someone prev said best bet is to ask over at somewhere like arnies where they can go over upgrades over the joule

Thanks for the quick replys and sorry I didnt mention I was in the north.
No real limit to fps up here except those set by airsoft sites, you do have to be a registered airsofter before you can buy a gun though. The guns I come up against are around 350 fps. Not a great difference but my gun did seem to fall short on the range. Nothing worse than being hit before you can even get in range to fire back.

A good hop up unit or even a good quality hop rubber can make a big difference. TM P90 at 270fps can match alot of stock AEGs at 320fps in range because of the hop unit TM use.
