on my new iPhone. My netbook filters it out but it gets through on the phone. Is there an app that can filter it or some way around it?

Also, the app icons on the screen. I have 3 pages of them but not full pages. How do I get them from one page to another. I can get them to move around the page but not to move page if you know what I mean :o

Where does your email come from?
is it a webmail such as gmail or does it come from a exchange server like a work email

Not a whole lot you can do about that I think. Afaik those esatclear accounts have no spam filtering at all. Services like gmail have very good spam filtering built in, nothing bad ever seems to get through.

you could set up a gmail account, add the esatclear email account in the gmail settings

gmail will then check the esatclear acc every so often and will filter out the spam

set up the gmail acc for IMAP and use that on both the netbook and iPhone.

all emails are then available on both devices

You can sign up for a gmail account and actually use that as a "shadow" account for all of your esatclear email (though it works for any provider).

Basically Gmail connects to your esatclear mailbox and downloads your mail for you. At this point it will filter out any spam. You can then set up gmail so that all mails sent by you from gmail come from <myaddress>@esatclear.ie. So for all intents and purposes you now have a free spam filter, webmail access and permanent backup solution without having to change your email address.

Thanks for the replies. Might try setting up a gmail account. Don't understand why it filters perfectly on the laptop but not on the phone.

i assume the reason you don't see spam is that you're connecting to your esat clear mail through a client like outlook/outlook express/thunderbird/etc. these could be filtering out the spam for you.

Thanks. Have set up the account. Not sure of where to change the settings though
