Uneven worn teeth

Ive had braces for the last year or so, and now that my teeth are getting straight its noticeable that some of my teeth have worn down differently from being at slightly odd angles over the years. My ortho briefly mentioned this and said we can discuss what to do at the end of the treatment if he should file them down, or add 'some peices on' (his words). He did say that filing down may make my teeth look a bit short.

Im just wondering if by adding peices on he's talking about veneers or bonding or something else. Veneers would seem a bit drastic. I'm just wondering does anyone know what way they usually do this, just so i know when i talk to him about it if there are different ways of going about it?

Bonding some white filling material (composite) may be an option once the braces come off. However these edges are prone to chipping and coming off. A veneer will look better for longer but may as you said be a bit drastic if the problem is minor. Ask your orthodontist to send you to a restorative dentist when you know the barace are about to come off and get all your options. impossible to give you advice without knowing your circumstances.
