Dark Brown Plain Suit...

I've been looking around the town (Limk) for a suit, I need one for the 8 August.
While there are loads of suits around, they all seem to be black and navy, and some grey!!

There are some brown ones around, but they are pinstripe and fairly formal..

I'm looking for something I might wear out for dinner too sometime and the likes..

I have a black one already, got it 4 or 5 yrs ago, so thought I'd get something different. There are some nice grey ones, but I have it in my head to try and get a dark brown suit. There's a nice tailored one in Next online, but might be risky ordering it just in case it doesn't fit..

Maybe brown isn't "in" this year, and I might try it on, and go "uuugggghhhh", but I don't want another dark suit..

I suppose I could take a spin to Cork.

a 3 piece coffin suit is what I need lol...!!

    Hi.

No specific advice on shopping in Limerick/Cork, just on brown suits... Brown is not a popular suit colour here, as you have noticed. They are less versatile in terms of what one can wear with them, and, unless it is very well cut, can leave one looking a little like a racetrack bookie. Generally, when buying suits, it is a good idea to start with navy or grey/charcoal, then expand from there. Travel to Italy, however, and you will notice that brown is seemingly as common as grey or navy.

Either way, definitely go and try some brown suits on in person, even the pinstriped ones, as it will give you a good idea of how the colour suits you.

yeah, I really do want to try one on. I was going to order one off Next, but thought it could be risky. I did see a grey one, which was pretty nice, maybe that might be a nice alternative...
