Do we need judges?

With each passing day,I ask myself the same question,do we need judges?I think of the salaries and expenses those so-called learned people are given and I can't help but think that most of us who live in the real world would administer justice better at a fraction of the cost. For a start, instead of sending the filthy rich to prison for whatever crime, strip them of their riches and help the economy. Why are there concurrent sentences?Let them rot for 70 years if that is what they deserve.I hope I have given a little food for thought.

Er, sure - that's food for thought and all... but you're definitely in the wrong forum. We discuss radio here.

    +1
This argument.........well its not even an argument of course we need judges in the same way as we need the Garda, doctors, Paramedics, Lawyers.................
Some people seem to think they can turn their hand to anything but when it comes down to it, i would rather a person who has worked in the legal world for a few decades and trained and studied extensively to admister the law as opposed to John down the road:cool:
