Dole and holidays?

What is the procedure for informing the social welfare office that you intend to take holidays. Is there a specific time you have to get the dates in by? i have flight booked for monday next week. Can i drop into the office tomorrow or monday fill in a form and everything is honky dory?

Is it not the case that if you are not available to work or looking for work then you do not get the dole? - you can chance it with re-arranging your sign on day but they can give you a load of stick over it.

They don't take holidays in the public sector....:P Just the 8 weeks they get.

every body gets 2 weeks hols a year whether they need it or not!

Thanks i'll drop in on monday

Im on JA and am working but not enough hence i qualify for the dole so it's bit hard to get in earlier. Few weeks i'll be off me hopes!
