Transfer money from AIB internet banking to paypal

Can I deposit money in a Paypal acccount using AIB internet banking
using the "I want to transfer money to another ROI account" option.

Yup, no reason why you can't with the information they give, just make sure to put the Transfer ID in the memo/reference section

Just looking on Paypal and it says to make sure the name on my bank statement is the same as the name of my paypal bank account name.
My bank account name has the initial of my middle name in it but Paypal only ask for first and surname. Should I just leave out the middle name initial?

I tried that once, nevr ended up in my paypal account tho. .
about 2 months later got refunded double the amount i attempted to send. .
never got an explanation,

Don't know about the middle initial part, maybe a quick email to Paypal first and they'll confirm?

no,
but your your middle innitial is not your surname, email paypal.

Did you fill in the Transfer ID in the message box on the AIB website Biazzi. Maybe that's why it didn't work for you?

I'll try transfer a small amount and it see how it goes anyway

Yeah filled in everything, i didnt have a middle initial to type.
They werent much help on the phone, got through to an irish guy, only person i could understand and he said it was the european section and put me on hold,
its a great service once you get it working, good luck with it.

If you just link your aib card with Paypal, do you need to put money into it to buy soething online?
