Seriously man, you do not have to make a bunch of threads for all the remakes. One thread can easily incorporate them all. If yoy head over to the horror forum you'll find a thread I just posted with the teaser psoter and first images of Freddy contained within.

No I'm thinking that perhaps it's best we keep you out of the forum. After all we discuss adult films and perhaps your fragile mind may not be mature enough to process it all. :D

I'm assuming that Dos Dievskiey is supposed to be Dostoyevsky though I could be worng due to lack of sleep, horrible appendix pains and medication. Apologies if I don't put much faith in a Drumcondra government test. Look man your'e 12 years of age, you should be watching Small Soldiers and the Mummy not on boards lookign for people to recommend you extreme horror films.

I read War and Peace when I was 9 and Stephen King from the age of 10, it did not mean that by 12 I was mature enough to enjoy films such as Canniable Holocaust. What it did do however was install in me a love for storytelling and a deep respect for films especially horror which put story and atmosphere before blood and guts. May I recommend that you go watch the classic universal Monster films an then the works of John Carradine, Bela Lugosi, Lon Chaney, Lon Chaney Jr, Boris Karloff, James Whale and Tod Browning for a start.

I know Russian names don't necessarily have a set transliteration, but that's certainly one of the more interesting ones.

Without meaning to be a smartass at all - it's fairly easy to locate the horror forum - just look for it under the drop down menus at the top of the page.

You never know - if he's this passionate about horror films, whose to say he won't go on to become the next Eli Roth. :D

WOoo, hang on a sec. Small Soldiers is a classic kids film. It's got a great idea at the center of the plot and is entertaining as hell. The Mummy is also a lot of fun. It's a throw back to the classic Universal Monster movies though I'm assuming that, that part passed right over your head.

If Elektra is the worst film you ever saw, well then you obviously haven't seen many films.

If you liked Death Note the movie make sure and check out the animated series - very good.

Actually you'd probably like a lot of animé - maybe have a look at the Hellsing series too.

Question - is it ok to provide links to online streams for something like Hellsing, which I think is legal to view online as it isn't licensed here?

When you've seen hundreds of films each year get back to me, on last count I have watched over 400 films this year to date. And while I'm sure people will say how sad it is or that I'm wasting my life I generally don't sleep very much plus I'm a film student, it's all research. :D

Was the blood necessary in Elektra? The film was aimed at the 12-15 year old bracket and as such was shot accordingly. There is nothign worse than a crap film which adds buckets of blood and gore simply because it can.

It must be nice to stretch out on the couch watching movies all day, and when asked what you did, be able to honestly state you were studying from 11am straight through until midnight :D

I'm in GMIT atm. I was offered Dun Laoghire a few years back but after suffering a horrible ordeal in Dublin a few weeks before the offer I turned it down. I'm really regretting not accepting the place now.

It is something all right but during the college year I have an awful lot of work to do and essays to write on pre 1916 cinema, so it has it's draw backs.

I was stabbed in the throat with a syring and a broken bottle by a junkie on my way home from a gig. As you can expect it quite shook me. I just didn't feel up to living in Dublin after that. It passed after a few weeks but by then it was too late. Right now I'm considering if I should watch Martyrs or Cyborg Cop.

It may surprise you to know that I actually have written a number of films, one of which I helped write was made into a film not too long ago. Anotehr I wrote is beign made atm but the producers are trying to screw me and actually registered the script under a different name and writer. Thankfully I had registered it before I sent it to them.

Well young man,if you want to educate yourself about horror movies, start at the beginning.

Im talking about movies like Nosferatu and The Cabinet Of Dr Caligari, move on to the Universal Monster movies Frankenstein,Dracula,The Mummy,The Wolfman etc.

This is where horror started and they should give you a better appreciation for what a horror movie should be and that its not about snappy editing and ridiculous plot twists.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal Darko, wouldn't wish that type of crap on anyone. Out of curiousity, are you working on anything at the moment, script-wise?

It was ages ago but it did suck.

At the moment I'm working on some stuff of my own, hoping to shoot something small in the next few weeks, just tryign to get a cast together which is harder than it looks

I actually had auditions today, and I have more tomorrow, for a short I'm doing in about three weeks time. Advertise for actors on boards, filmmakersnetwork, check out the GFC database and send a press release to the Advertiser (it's free). All this should generate some interest, I got a lot of feedback.

If you need any help, let me know. If I'm not busy, I'd like to help out.

    Freddys new face.

Not overly impressed TBH but that probably has to do with the fact the picture is so clear and close up.

Pic wont attach for some reason.
