all i can find on the website is past papers, which i have, but i wouldn't mind getting a hold of the syllabus in case there is something that hasn't being examined yet.

apologies hadn't seeing this before posting http://www.icai.ie/Global/syllabus/CAP1%20Competency%20statement%202008%202009.pdf

would you recommend getting a grind to go over it all before attempting the exam????

    thanks

How do you find out if you have gotten or have not gotten your exemptions? I sent the ICAI exemption form away to the Big 4 company I have signed with a few weeks ago but haven't heard anything back. My acceptance into a Masters course depends on my exemptions so I'm kind of eager to find out if I got them. (I'm 99% sure I did, my college course promised full CAP1 exemptions and I got C's or above in everything.)

for me it depended on getting certain grades in subjects - some over 40% some over 50%.... you need to apply to the institute for exemptions, form online... then they send you conformation.

Have you been given access to the notes from the lectures over the year. If not, you can pm me you email and I'll forward on the notes from the Dublin lectures.

It's up to you in regards to grinds or the revision course being offered. The pass rate was only 50%. I'm one of many resitting the exam. I'm taking the revision course in Dublin in August.

If you want the notes, let me know.

If anyone needs the lecture notes for any of the exams, except for Law as no notes were posted on the board, send me a pm. I'll be happy to email them. I have them all saved on my computer, so there's easy access. Please be sure to have enough space in your email.

Cheers, and best of luck to all on the autumn cap1 exams.

I've recently got several request for the notes. I have no problem sending them, but please provide an email that has the space. Hotmail does not have the space. I have sent about 5 emails to 5 different hotmail accounts and all have been sent back. Gmail is great, a work email, or another email account with lots more room.

    Cheers and best of luck.

If you want the notes, do not give me a hotmail email account. I will ignore you request as every message sent has been kicked back, even those who swear their account is large enough. I know gmail works, school emails have worked, work email, and I'm sure others, but I know hotmail does not.

ALL requests for notes to be sent to a hotmail account will be IGNORED from now on. While I'm happy to help and provide the notes, I do not have the time to continue to resend these emails.

Best of luck to all who are sitting the exams in September.
