I know it's very early, but I was thinking about Halloween costumes. I have seen picture of a really cool home made one, a headless Marie Antoinette!

I wanted to do something similar, but sadly I lack the skill required to make a headless foam bust.

Does anyone know where I could buy a foam one? Or a cheap foam/polystyrene mannequin or a block of polystyrene?

    Thanks :D

Try Fran in Made in Hollywood (google it) Give him plenty of notice and I am sure he will be able to help!

Try asking in a shop such as an electrical shop for a block of polystyrene, they are always chucking stuff like that.

It's very easy to carve polystyrene, use a bread knife or something similar. Roughly draw the shape you want then carve. Be warned the stuff gets everywhere, and it does annoy some peoples teeth!

After carving it, glue some fabric all over it, like muslin, using watered PVA glue. It'll stop static and constant shedding of bits...
