Clay ground...best way to set ip up

    HI,

    I'm looking tp help my gunclub set up our first permanent clay pigeon ground....we can afford maybe €1,500. Can anyone give advice on.

    1/ what trap / traps to buy
    2/ which way would you set them up to give us the most shooting scenario's

    With such a small budget you're looking at a couple of manual traps and I'd say from experience you'll run out of steam fairly quickly. Lads get pi##ed off trapping week after week.
    For €1,500 you'll pick up a second hand automatic trap that will give you variable angle birds or you might pick up a second hand pair of sporting traps. With a couple of auto sporters on mobile bases you could set them differently each week. Going away birds, incoming or crossers. You could throw sinlges, on reprt or simultaneous pairs. The possible cobinations are many!
