    Lads,

    For the more mathematically minded of you.

    I've a lampforce 170 (stock bulb 100W I think)and after getting a 12v 20ah Battery. How long will it last if the beam is left on??

    Regards

    Jonty

    12V divided by 100W and then multiplied by 20Ah = 2.4 Hours
    by my reckoning. (I'm open to correction??)

    I think the 170 comes with a 75W bulb as standard which gives you 3.2 Hours by the above calculation.

    Hope this helps
    Paul

    Watts = Volts x Amps

    therefore 100 watts / 12 volts = 8.33 amps

    Battery = 20 amps/hour

    therefore 20amps / 8.33 amps = 2.4 hours.

    in a nutshell. :D

    Get the dimmer and it will last longer....................................

    I have a Surefire torch, like the swat teams use on the TV. OK for rabbits @50m on my 22lr when I get the chance to use it.

    Looks similar to this-
