Parcelforce

I tracked an item that is being sent to me and apparently it's been 'held' for 'insufficient address' and moved to a warehouse. I contacted the person sending the item and the response I got was they would e-mail Parcelforce and asked for my contact number (to which I obliged).

    Two questions:

    1) Are they reliable in replying to e-mails?
    2) Do they have a phone number to contact in Ireland?

    Edit: Bugger, wrong forum. :o

Too late. Now we all know that your pron is in transit and we'll be over with popcorn and beer when (if) it clears customs.

    I'm older than Minecraft goats.

    ParcelForce

They handle a lot of stuff from America that is under the care of UPS. They are absolutely useless. If they don't recognize an address straight off or if it is out of the main cities they just send it back as incorrect address.

I got a package sent from Idaho that spent 2 and a half days making it from Idaho to Dublin via Atlanta, and 7 days making it from Dublin to Offaly.

I had a Parcelforce package delivered to me via An Post with over 600 euro worth of computer parts on Tuesday this week. Another order I placed in the UK is arriving today, it's only worth 200 euro but it's coming via courier and not An Post ...

So from my experience it would appear to depend on the type of Parcelforce service & value of the goods as to who will take care of it when it gets to Ireland. You should ask your seller for the Parcelforce tracking number and call the UK yourself. They should put you through to a depot of their carrier here in Ireland if necessary, or they might have all the details themselves.

They're so good, that people have nicknamed them ParcelFarce

If you have a tracking number, can you not just ring parcelforce and set them straight on the address. That is what I would do.

Probably their Sat nav doesn't recognise the address

On two occassions I've used them (the second time unwillingly, but there was no other option). On the 1st occassion they just ditched the parcel (valuables, fragile worth about 200 Euro) in the neigbours porch - they found it when they came home. The second occassion (valuables, glass, around 300 Euro) they placed on the raised steps of a house round the corner with the reverse house number of mine, with the box open, in the rain, where it was found some hours later.

Same thing happened to the three guys from the states a few weeks ago.

How much did she cost you?

I can't say anything good about them. They are currently trying to deliver me a parcel. It landed in Germany a while back, then it went missing for a few days, then it was in France and now it's currently back in Germany! Some day it will get to me!!

I used to work customer service for a company that used them as a courier (generally they were the only people who delivered on saturdays), having dealt with parcelforce via email and over the phone, I can tell you that they are absolutely beyond incompetent.
As far as I know they only have a UK number:
    0844 800 4466
