Okay, So basically I am hoping to move to/work in Los Angeles for a year. Problem is the only info i can find on Visas are 3 month working visas or 1 year apprentice visas and other types of work done through a company.

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Could I ask mate,
whats the story with the one year working visa? never heard of such a visa.
Where can I find info about that? Is it like specialized work or just a visa to go out and do casual work for a year?
    Cheers

I dunno mate, thats my question.. I wanna find out if there is a 1 year Visa for doing casual work. So far i can only find ones for specialised work , like apprenticeships and stuff.

The Irish Work and Travel visa is a new 1-year internship visa. There's a big thread on it here under Living Abroad. Not sure if that's what you mean by apprentice visas? You have to be within 12 months of graduation and do work related to your degree. There's more information here www.iicenter.org (Link on the right).
