Hey everyone I'm hoping to do the Dublin marathon this year but now when I go out running afterwards I get a dull pain in my foot. Its around were the arch meets the sole of my right foot and I only feel it if I walk on it or lean on it. Applying pressure with my hand brings no pain but everytime I put some of my weight on it it hurts. Is there anything I can do about this or anyway I can avoid it in future because its really starting to hinder my progress.

    Thanks for any advice :D

well we can't give medical advice on here, (not that I have any medical knowledge anyway)....but that sounds like it could be a number of things so I would suggest going to a physio, ideally one that specialises in sports injuries. Hope it gets better soon

I've a very similar problem at the moment and by some weird chance, I went to the physio this morning. In my case (yours could be totally different), he told me it was plantar fasciitis...sounds a lot worse than it is...and that my calf being very tight was one of the primary reasons.

So he worked on my calf this morning and will do so again this morning and just gave some general exerices. Including rolling a tennis ball with the base of your foot. I would recommend going to a physio anyways and checking it out.
