    Hi Dusty,

Any type really. What I want are a few pigeons to use for dog training. To help a friends pointer by planting a pigeon and walking the dog up close to it to get the scent. So it doesn't really matter what type of pigeon. Nothing too fancy:o

Ah, the fella i know would have fancy pigeons. All white ones, tumblers etc. Homing ones. Probabaly to expensive for that? Would you not shoot few over crops?

    Hi Dusty.
Yeah I shoot a good few over crops and use them for retrieving practice. What I am looking for really is a few live ones that I can use to get the dog steady to the flush. So i need them live. I would plant them by dizzying and hunt the dog up to them to get the flush. Not many rabbits round my area so was thinking pigeons would be a good alternative.
What sort of money are we talking about for the homing pigeons?

    Thanks again.

Honestly i wouldn have a clue. Like everythin depend on breed and alone lines i suppose. Not into them myself due to fact id prob shoot the ones i had by mistake ha. If you check the donedeal.ie or buyandsell there's always a few. Donedeal you can see where the seller is so can get one close to home. You should have no problems finding ones for 10 to 15euro. I never heard of flushing pigeons before lol! New to dog training though
