Myself and my partner spent all of last week running around getting the paperwork together and signed in order to apply for rent allowance. Once this was done I had assumed it would be a good few weeks before anything went through. I called the CWO Friday about coming to our place for an inspection. She came out on the Monday afternoon, only stayed for about 5 mins, gave her some more info on the Tuesday which she needed.....then yesterday (Wednesday) she called me to say my rent allowance will go through as from Friday and will be there every week for me in my post office along with my JB! I can't believe how quick it was all done! So for once, I have to say, I was very impressed with the HSE on this!!
