In the continuing saga of David Haye’s pursuit of a world heavyweight title, after talks with the Klitschko brothers broke down for numerous reasons, former undisputed world cruiserweight champion Haye and his trainer, co-promoter Adam Booth have signed a contract with Sauerland Promotions to meet current World Boxing Association (WBA) heavyweight champion Nikolai Valuev on November 7.

"Haye, 28, is eight stones lighter and nine inches smaller than Valuev."

It would be entertaining in a freakish kind of way, like watching a car crash.

Haye will pull out before it.

I reckon Valuev wont know how to beat Haye. Valuev is absolutesly sh1te, and Haye will be able to move around him, keeping out of reach of his big slow swings. Cant wait

Are sky showing this? Surely it won't be on box office?

He's gonna have a hard time landing on Haye, Valuev is quicker than he looks but his handspeed actually will do what Haye says for once and 'make it look like the matrix'.

Valuev is heavy handed due to the sheer size of him, but he's not got explosive power. If he lands on Haye with a decent shot he'd probably floor him, but I'm not sure he can deliver to type of blow to Ko Haye in 1 shot.

Haye will probably want to ko Valuev, a difficult task which could leave him open but if he boxes smart like Chagaev and mainly targets the body he should be able to box his way to a decision.

I think Valuev might be on the decline, he'll be 36 soon and he's had a long career. Training puts a lot of pressure on his joints too and I don't think he's quite as mobile as he once was.

Interesting fight anyway, but I think Haye takes it.

I cant see Valuev even landing a clean shot. This is a bit like the Paul o Connell v Bernard Dunne thingy but the difference being that Haye has a knockout punch and Valuev is no Paul o Connell.

Haye will just dance around him jabbing his eyes shut and then if its not stopped by the ref/doctor he will knock the big lump out.

IMO the klitchko fight was pulled to get this fight. Now he'll have a world title belt and the profile of a fight with the bro's goes up and so does the purse for a unification. It could be what the heavyweight division needs to liven it up a bit and we could even get an undisputed champion out of it somewhere down the line. Of course, if the fight is in germany Haye will have to knock valuev down in every round to get a decision so here's hoping for a knockout.

according to eastside boxing " live and exclusive on sky box office " typing on the ps3 so can't post link. Its mentioned in one of the articles at the bottom

Haye won't knock Valuev out and Valuev won't knock Haye out. If its in Germany Valuev gets the decision regardless of what happens in the fight. Quite depressing really, I wanted to see a klitschko knock out Valuev and Haye to fight the other Klitschko.

Yep, its on Box Office, just saw it advertised on Sky Sports News.

Haye to take it IMO he is just too quick for Valuev and he can throw a strong punch, will be a very interesting or very boring fight, depending on the tactics of the fighters.

Haye knows he can't take out a guy like Valuev in the early rounds. But he will easily be able to stay out of harms way for 9 rounds as Valuev is slow and immobile. In the 10th round Valuev will be exhausted. Six good combinations should finish him. Haye has enough power in his combinations to even knock a man this size, they can take the first and second shot, but it's shots 3,4 and 5 that draw them to their knees.

Valuev is not that slow or immobile, he only needs 1 good punch to land and its over, I don't see Haye troubling him at all tbh.

I think you might be right. As good, and as fast, as Haye is i think he will be caught by a couple of solid shots and will buckle. If Haye doesn't have the power to knock Valuev out i see him losing by ko.

a 46 year old holyfield gave him a good fight and probably won the fight. there is no reason Haye cant beat him but I doubt he can knock him down.

Haye had trouble staying upright when taking shots from crusierweights, so what happens when a heavy-handed heavyweight connects- which will happen no matter how fast Haye is. If Haye can't knock Valuev out then he has little chance of winning imo.

I like this fight but I also worry for Haye. I cannot see him KOing the beast and Haye will tired in the later rounds if he is constantly staying outta trouble.

I hope Haye wins so he can get a crack at the gruesome twosome. Not because I like Haye, but because those two are stinking out heavyweight boxing.

I liked Haye since he got silver in the worlds as an amatuer but some what gone off him off late, I think Valuev to big in this one and will be able take it and no matter how much a better boxer Haye is Valuev will land a few and Haye be gone (hopefully) I wreckon and hope

As For the brothers I wreckon two off them most underated Heavyweights off all!!!! WHY??? cause they Ukrainian if they were Americans be the best thing since Tyson!!! Wlad better boxer tech wise but Vitail better over all and in my opinion as good if not better than Lewis, I know he lost on the cut and all but my opinion there.

I don't dispute their skills, but they are certainly stinking out the heavyweight division.
