    Hi,
Thinking about getting a pair of these. Need a Neutral running shoe. Just did the Adidas 5 mile, and looking forward to the next 2 in the series.
Feel like I need more cushioning than my Asics gel 1120 shoes give me though.
    Anyone try them?

I have the Lunaracer's, plenty of cushioning but vv. little support, I might use them for the 10m but possibly not the half mara. Maybe try the Lunar Trainer as a compromise, still light and lots of cushioning, but not as heavy as the Glide. depends on what time you'll be doing I suppose, if you're a bit heavier on your feet you're better off going for the ones with more support

Note: Woddle had some hell cutting problems with the Trainer, I've had some with the Lunaracer, you have been warned.

I don't think the heel thing is that big a deal if you break them in gently. I have lunartrainers. I had heard they can dig into your achilles tendon so I broke them in gently with cotton wool at the heel tab at first and dint wear them for too long at a time until I was used to them. I think the only difference is that the heel tab is a bit lower so the pressure is on somewhere that isn't used to it rather than it's greater pressure than any other shoe.

I thought the Glide were the replacement for the Lunar Trainers which are being discontinued. Is that wrong?

As for the heel cutting, quite a few runners have reported that problem, both with the Lunar Trainers and the Racers. It seems to be a very individual thing, some people get it, others don't. I've used 2 pairs of Lunar Trainers in the past year and really like them. As for the Lunaracers, they are my racing shoes and personally I think they are the best racing shoes on the planet.

The only way to find that out would be for you to do a long run in them and decide for yourself.

changed my mind and did 7 miles in the lunarglides on fri and did 21 miles today.they only took a few miles to break in so said i'd give them a go this morning.while they were comfortable i'm still not comfortable with the thought of using them over marathon distance.will give it another few runs before i make my mind up about them

I bought a pair recently too. Have done a few 8 mile sessions in them but nothing longer than that. Given I'd had injury trouble lately I'm reluctant to push it too much in them, plan on wearing the at the Dingle half anyway to see how they go over that distance.
