strange question

Ok, I'm on JA at the minute and what i earn from my job is deducted from the dole. Fair enough.

But, if i were to become self employed, get into a business, become a director of that business that I would NOT be earning a wage for at least a year if ever (it's one of those businesses where it just migt not happen),

Obviously i wouldn't be on JA anymore because i had a job where i might earn nothing, but the question is...

could i get supplemenrat welfare allowance or something each week, because, I had a job, was self emplotyed, but earning nothing)

so if you earn 154 euro from part time work the dole will only give you 50 euro to make it up to 204 euro is that how JA and part time work is?????????

I'm afraid that's unlikely. You might be better off waiting until you qualify for the back to work enterprise scheme when you could continue to receive your JA.

okay, well my claim went in sept 08 and I'm still waiting for it to be processed! I had to go to the cwo to finally get a cheque every wk March. I should have gone sooner, but I hated going there.
