ive had bad knees for ages and have done rehab, taken a course of inflammatories etc,

just picked up some ice packs for them more as a last resort than anything and must say it so far it seems to be working better than anything ive tried before,

just wondering has anyone else had similar success with the ice?

Yes, it's very effective for inflammation... Was the first thing my physio said, if you have an injury, get ice on it.

    hi,

i do a bit of cycling.ice packs would be good but dont leave them on to long as it stops circulation of blood.only leave them on for 10 mins and take them off and put them on again later.

what about the tight elasticy sock?that should be good.

    hope this helps.

+1 on the 10 minute thing.
Sore quads recently from increased running so went with one of these for my quads. The knee thingy might be overkill for some or useful for others. Ive no connection with the company but find the product top notch.

Ya I had good success with ice packs also...but just of short application.

I had knee pains when at work, at rest! And was worrying that it may be some cartilage.

The best advice I got from a fellow cyclist is to stretch really well before and after cycling and to hold you foot up to your ass and press you knee onto a soft surface (like a couch arm). I have to say this really worked for me. May not work for you.?

Whatever works for you. Experts used to say that ice immediatly to reduce swelling. after some hours of little effect so then heat therapy might be best. Heard of skin burning from prolonged and direct use never of circulation problems again I stand to be corrected. Either way if you've done the complete rest and anti inflamatries to no avail next stop is yhe chartered physio.
