I often get cramp in my calf muscle while cycling to & from work (about 15 miles each way). It usually happens about halfway and always on the same leg. Is there anything I can do to prevent this?

Have good old stretch before you go out.Move your cleat slightly foward (if you use them.

    Stretching will definetly help though.

Might also be your dehydrated, so keep drinking plenty of water, also make sure your saddle is the correct height.

Are you a strong cyclist? Sometimes when I over reach on a cycle, I start to get cramps. If you are new to cycling, maybe you are just not used to the effort. If you have been cycling for ages, ehhh, then just ignore this message :)

You can probably avoid this if you work on your calf flexibility - one of the easiest to do stretches, and quite beneficial to cyclists.

I'm using the cycling shoes that clip into the pedals, but I'm fairly new to the long cycle and have a lot of hills to climb so that might be the cause.

Hope it clears up and thanks for the advice.
