Why was the Garda pay thread locked?

It could have been worded a little more PC i spose, but other than that there were things in there id like to see answered.

The absolute truth is that minimum intelligence is required to become a guard. Friends of mine who have passed out of Templemore recently often regale me of stories of their nightlife and general lack of work ethic.
    They're quiet proud of it.
Just on Saturday night i was on the entrance gate of an event where i was flashed a badge instead of the entrance fee.
For shame, i let the scab in...

Does 12 months in Templemore somehow allow these people to look down their nose at the rest of us?

Firstly, most gardai are hugely in debt after their training and their first few years.

Secondly, go to the emergency services forum, theres a thread talking about rent allownace there, and the reasons for it.

No they're not. They get free accommodation, a clothing allowance, and a training allowance every week

    How do you deduce that?
What does that have to do with anything?

Have you any input on the topic?

You let them in free for flashing their badges, yet they are to blame?

It's your fault for letting them in for free... lol.

that free allowance is fook all, besides they gotta put up with dipsticks across the nation almost 24/7

they might be despised and i think a lot of them are useless but by and large they do a reasonably good job given their rather primitive stations and resources.

I'm sick of your Garda bashing slemons, and seems like you've nothing else of value to contribute.
