    Deal All,

Can anyone please tell if there is a minimum criteria to gain Irish citzenship, much like the business permission whereby you have to have a minimum of €300k in a bank account etc..

If so where can I read up on this, as I find calling the Government agency in charge of this literally impossbile contact, as they only work two days a week from 9 -12.30,

    thanks

    Mark

Not in the sense of you need x amount of money in the bank. But you will need to submit financial details to prove that you are not a burden on the state. If you have availed of social welfare within the past three years you will most likely not be granted citizenship as a matter of policy.

There are also statutory criteria like five years' reckonable residency, "good character" etc. You should be able to find this on the Citizens Information website.
