have you had a look at the CAO website for what points were required last year ?

have you phoned the college and asked what the points requirement ? or if there are any other requirements ?

do you have any experience in management or events organisation ?

if you dont have enough points you can work in the area (ie. contact someone like MCD, Aiken promotions in Dublin - dunno what the equivalent in Galway is) ..anyway - if you can get some experience with them you might get accepted in.

the gmit course final cut off point should be quite low seeing as demand was down for gmit's course last year and they cancelled the course, points should be lower than established event management courses such as LIT and DIT which are approx 285 and 400 respectively!
