Spraying tarmac for weeds

What can i use to spray my driveway for weeds that are popping up at the edges near the kerbing. I have a dog but he can be kept in for a day if necessary but i would prefer pet safe spray.

Roundup is ideal and is perfectly safe with animals and pets.
