Fastcash business banking

    Does anyone here have any experience of Fastcash from Ulster Bank. I presently do my lodgements into the drop safe or over the counter, but they are persistant in asking me to go Fastcash. Apparently, the money is credited straight away to the account, but it isnt counted in branch, it goes to a central counting area in town.

    They tell me it is one third the cost for cash lodgements but as I am a new business with three years of no fees, it is neither here nor there.

    I mentioned this to a cash and carry I deal with and they advised me not to.

    Anyone here use this or have any imput?

    Have Ulster Bank mistreated you in the past that you don't trust what your bank are telling you ?

    Not at all.

    Its just the first person I mentioned it to said NO WAY.

    A few years ago I used to use a drop box in Bank of Ireland. I'd say about once a month I'd get a phone call to tell me the lodgement was 20 or 50 quid short. The strange thing was that when I stopped using it and had the cash counted in front of me at the counter I never made a mistake. Interesting ?
