MMA in Kerry

Hi, I'm wondering if there is any mma training in Kerry region. Killarney or Tralee preferably. any links or contact details would be handy thanks.

There is a lad called Thomas Mc Guire down round kilarney that has fougtht mma and is pretty good i think he runs a club down there,ask around or someody on here might have details for him

there's a gracie barra tralee where our main focus is bjj but we do train mma 1night a week. where are u based?

Tom is teaching mma classes in both Tralee and Killarney at the moment. Tuesday he is in Tralee school of Martial arts, Chutes lane.Classes start at 730. He teaches in Killarney-Thursday and Friday at 730 in the cultural centre. His email is tommag79@gmail.com. Its a really good mma class and Tom has a lot of experience.

I dont think there are any dedicated female only mma gyms in the country. I think Ashling Daly teaches a womens only mma fitness class in Dublin, but for any other women, the best bet is just go along to your local club. Its usually not a big deal

A few girls train with Tom in Tralee as far as I know.

In any club I know of there's a lot more guys training than girls, that's just the way of it. That's no reason not to give it a go and see how you get on.

There's a lot of talent in Kerry with Francis's Gracie Barra Team, who compete a lot and Tom's Team. so you've got a good choice there. best to try em out and find out whats best for yourself.

erm, Tom and Francis' clubs, as mentioned above.

Thanks for the info. I was with Tom for a few weeks but the other girls gave up, so il check in with him again to see if any more have joined upsince. Sorry for the confusion, only getting used to using the boards for the first time!
