Heard that meath footballers are down with tummy bug but will probably still win. Not 100% about Galway against Waterford especially at that price.

    all prices are PP.

i think the 2 Galway matches are dodgy. Footballers werent impressive against mayo and waterford could upset the hurlers. But im nearly cofident both can win. But knowing my luck with accumalators one team will let me down

Both the Hurling and Football championships have been very close this year we nearly had two sub 1/10 shots in Kerry and Limerick losing last weekend. One of the favs is bound to lose, coupled with the fact that the GAA haven't ,ahem, manufactured any draws for a couple of rounds.

I wont touch that multi with stolen money.

Would not go anywhere near that. Galway vs Donegal will be very tight and a lot will depend on how Galways midfield performs, if they are cleaned out which could very easily happen then Donegal will win. As for the Meath game, the Meath camp has been hit with a virus this week, not the ideal preperation.

As for the hurling bets, I would not go near any of the relegation games, it is hard to know where teams heads are at and with the uncertainty over whether these games would actually have gone ahead there will be doubts over teams preperations. Also FYI for the minor game between Tipp and Wexford apparently Tipps best player O'Dwyer is out with a broken jaw.

At least one of those games is bound to go against you, if not with a lose with a draw. If you still want to put it on why not go draw no bet for all of the games.

Donegal @ 2/1 (betfair) is the best bet of the weekend........
Meath and Kildare both ridiculous prices!!!

kildare have a load of injuries.wicklow are great value.

    will dublin beat limerick?

i had all my bets picked out but can't seem to put them on:confused:, i reckon there could be a draw somewhere and a few upsets this weekend.

i might put a tenner on wicklow and roscommon for a value bet. don't think i'll lump on any even money games. might lump on kerry

Clare are very dodgy at that price, its well known both counties are very upset that the game is even taking place and will no doubt treat it with contempt, they have won only one game iirc this year and they will most likely rest their u-21 players who are playing the u-21 Munster final on wednesday night.

+1 on this, that is if the games even take place. Out of interest premierstone what is the feeling in Tipp about the minor team, I have not seen them play but have heard that they have a few really good players and the rest of the team is average. With O'Dwyer apparently being out I was considering backing Wexford

not really. the result could go either way so the price is about right. i'd say dubs will do it

Wouldn't suprise me if Limerick beat Dublin, they probably aren't as strong a team or panel as Dublin BUT they have far more big game experience and the Dubs have a habit of struggling to put teams away in hurling. Also, Limerick have been poor so far, and are arguably due a big game, unlike Dublin. It will be very close game imo.

Anyone know if the Dublin/Limerick game is on telly ???

Value of the weekend is Wicklow 4/1 & Waterford 5/2. Lot of games are very hard to call though

Tipp minors umm where do i start, O'Dwyer is definitely out which is a massive blow tbh, at the start of the year they would have been well fancied having won both the u-15 and u-16 all ireland as a group and in fairness when the chips were down against Cork in the replay they did play some very nice open flowing hurling but there are weaknesses all over the the team tbh, the goalkeeper and FB line are very dodgy, Denis Maher is a CB and a centre back only yet has been playing(very poorly) in midfield, he stared at centre back for Thules CBS in their AI win, and the forwards have been way too over reliant on O'Dwyer, the next best forward would probably be Ruairi Gleeson but he also hasnt been 100% fit for a while and has looked very tired the last few games for both Tipp and he's club.

Within the county there would be also serious question marks over the management they are very in-experienced and some of the tactics, selections and ommissions from the panel have been baffeling to say the least, for example in the first half of the Munster Final they played O'Dwyer as a third midfielder (even deeper at times) and he the main scoring threat

I have no idea how good or bad wexford are but all i know is this Tipp team are very beatable so I wouldnt put you off if the price was right, personally I never bet on minors they are far too unpredictable and can go from the sublime to the ridicilous in the space of a week.

Well considering Waterford are widely available @ 11/4, 5/2 starts to look like bad value:pac::pac:

Tipp and Wexford minors was a draw tipp won in extra time but no joy for your bet, ul.

Did not put anything on the game in the end, to unpredictable.

Donegal beat Galway as well, so at least two games to bust the accumulator

I was fairly sure it was Wexford, rather then Tipperary, that were 'All-Ireland' Under-16 champions.

I was saying that Tipp won the u-16 with the current minors so it would have been 2 years ago, they beat Dublin very easily in the final

Both the hurling games are on RTE. Dubs at 2, Deise at 4.

I'm definitely going to put money on somewhere today, but just can't decide where.

In the Dublin game, its as even a contest as I can imagine. Limerick are a better side on their day, but I was at the Laois game last week and they were god-awful for most of it and were behind until the 60th minute. If they play like that against the Dubs they'll lose. The gamble is whether or not they will play like that. Might put a small wager on a draw.

In the Waterford game, its a battle of the two full-forward and full-back lines, and to a lesser extent dependant on how the Waterford half-backs deal with the rampaging Galway half-forwards. Galway have Eugene McEntee playing at full-back, which leads me to believe that Eoin Kelly and Mullane could throw up big scores. But Waterfords full-back line is notoriously dodgy (especially this year) and Canning, Hayes and co should run riot there. I'd say it will be high scoring. Waterford at 11/4 are probably worth a shot though.

    Kerry 1/7
    Dublin 5/6
    Waterford 11/4

    €10 returns €80.

Eoin Kelly to score the first goal, 7/1

If I was to put on a first goalscorer bet I would go with Joe Canning at 9/2 or John Mullane at 8/1. First goalscorer for Waterford could depend a lot on who Ollie Canning is picking up.

There are a few other interesting looking bets total points for Joe Canning to be over 10.5 is evens, PP are also offering a scoring match bet between Eoin Kelly and Joe Canning.

is there any way kerry will lose today? considering a fairly large sum on them. i know they have been playing bad but should still do the biz?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 346 ✭✭dibs101

wouldnt touch the kerry game with a barge pole at that price. especially with gooch and t oshea possibly dropped. This is Antrims all ireland final and they have nothing to loose. I still fancy kerry but would not be putting my hard earned on it. Much better value out there today.

i don't look for value, i look for profit. i've said it before on this forum. i bet big on short odds that i think are very likely to win rather than bet small on a 50/50 game like dub/limerick.

what would you be betting on so?

Limerick/Dublin is one to watch imo, you have plenty of imponderables. This is a big occasion for Dublin, and playing in Thurles in a big game will be new to many of them.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 346 ✭✭dibs101

not gonna touch any of the gaa today. will look at the spurs v celtic game in pre season depending on team selections at 4pm. Celtic have their champs league qualifier in a couple of days and expect them to put out a weakened team. if they do spurs at 17/20 looks like value to me.

i would have expected a strong celtic team in order to get the team playing well togeather. they need game time to blow the cobwebs out after a summer break? maybe i'm wrong but i would have expected a fairly strong team
