Was thinking about going for some LED side lights for my car, not looking for something that will twinkle in the night etc something just for safety and as I drive a lot of back roads longevity. Has anyone came across them or got them fitted.

    Heres some on ebay.

It says they are for show use only which would mean they are not road legal right?

Incidentily I bought a set of LED bulbs for my rear number plate lights as the original ones were very poor. They do look nice and the rear number plate is alot more visible. A pair cost around €10 including shipping.

I've messed around with a few of these. None are brighter than your ordinary 5W filament bulb, and none reflect properly on the headlamp reflector.

As long as the colour is white they'll pass the NCT.

What an ebay ad from a seller in another jurisdiction says means nothing really.
