use equal quantities of sugar to fruit. 200g of each will make 1 pot of jam.
place a saucer in the freezer.
Heat fruit first in pot then add sugar, bring to boil, continue to stir. in order to test if the jam has set place a spoonful on the saucer and run your finger over it, if a skin has formed then it has set. pour into sterlised jars.
you can use normal sugar or jam sugar (this has pectin added to it, so your jam is sure to set)

Thanks Kipper. Worked really though after putting all that sugar in I don't think I'll ever eat a bread and jam sandwich again.
