What Water Filtration System for home? lime and harmful stuff (Own Well)

    What is the best water filtration system to get, at house entry level, to protect against lime, particles and harmfuls?

    I have a serious problem with particles and lime in my households water, it's private well.
    What should I be looking for?

    Just to point out how bad it is, when drinking a cup of tea you can taste the particles at the end of the cup, like a very fine sand. There's also a white residue left in the kettle.

    Firstly I'm interested to know how to clean the particles, lime.
    Secondly of course I'd be interested to see and filter out potential nasties.

    What is the best system out there? it would need to be at source I guess (entry out to the house).
