Not Performing Running Alone

    Hi all,

I am considering running the Dublin marathon this year. I have started training and am aiming for a sub 4 hours finish.

I have noticed that when running alone, I tend not to perform as good as when I am running with a friend. I am wondering if there are facilities available in Dublin to find running mates. My usual running mates are either out of the country or are doing different sports this year.

I could join a club but I don't think I am up to that great a standard. I ran the DCM in 2005 in 4.47, not great. I am guessing most running clubs cater for those running for a while..

I live in the Dundrum area but am not from Dublin.

    Any ideas are welcome!

Sportsworld train in bushy park, not too far from you, and cater for all levels.
