Hi all, moving back into our house soon after getting extension work done and deciding to go for Sky + or UPC digital.

First off do you HAVE to have a phone line for Sky + ? Can you use the line you get via wireless broadband (Digiweb) or does it have to be Eircom line?

Don't want to pay extra for a landline just to have sky +

And can you recommend one over the other ?

    Cheers,
    Neon

Phoneline is not required for sky+

    only mandatory for multiroom.

Do you have to pay an eircom subscription if you want multi-room?

(Pretty hefty if it is the case as multi-room by itself is something like E19 per month each)

So to have sky in two extra rooms might cost... E70 extra per month !

not if you already have a phone line.

AFAIK it will work with voip services,
