    I'll probably be getting myself an iPhone this Christmas, I realize that isn't that soon but I'm just wondering some things:

    1. Should I get the 3G or 3GS? I haven't used an iPhone before so I don't really know how important the little upgrades are.

    2. So far the best place I can see to buy one is O2, I didn't think you could get it on pre-pay but supposedly you can on their website. I am with Meteor atm and plan to stay with them, is unlocking the phone myself hard? I don't want to be stuck with an O2 phone...

    3. When is it best to buy the phone? It'll be a Christmas present for myself but do you think the prices will rise by Christmas time?

    Thanks for your help if I get any :rolleyes:

    To address your questions;

    1.There isnt a huge difference in price, so mite as well go for the 3gs. Personally, I notice very little difference, but many will say otherwise.

    2. You can buy them unlocked in Italy or Belgium. If thats not an option, your only choice is o2. Unlocking is very easy.

    3.If you want to unlock it, its best to buy now. As soon as apple release a new software update, the unlock will not work(with that update). A few days/weeks after the update becomes available, phone in the shop will come standard with the update installed. These phone will not be able to be unlocked until/or even if, a new unlock becomes available for that update. Prices will not rise, dont worry about that.
