When my iphone3g contract ends, what are my options? Continue on month by month basis? I can upgrade now but I wonder about holding on for next years Iphone. Also O2's deal with apple supposedly ends in September. Decision decisions:confused:

Regarding O2's exclusivity, I doubt anyone else will be selling the 3GS this year.
    Maybe the 3G.

As for what you should do - does your tariff suit you or would you be better off with another tariff provider? No point in moving unless there's a reason. You don't need to sign another contract to stay with O2.

And even if you upgrade now you'll have another (silver) upgrade in July 2010.

Just info for anyone else in same situation:
called into carphone wareh. today and was told that I would have to get a new 18 month contract when current one expires. Can't do month by month with iphone.
Walked across the street into O2 store and was told my contract goes month by month when 18 month expires. Challenged guy on it and he said he was definite that it goes month by month.

That's always been the case. I think the guy in carphone warehouse was chancing his arm or thought you wanted a new phone.

Or was more likely the sales person didn't know so made up an answer on the spot, I wouldn't be overly empressed with CPW's staffs knowledge, of the few times I have gone into the shop's I have overheard them give out some information from just misleading to complete and utter nonsense.
