Renault Clio Throttle Body Help!

    Hi all,

The wife's car is giving trouble - it's going into limp mode, usually just restarting sorts it out but it seems to be getting worse.

Mechanic reckons that it's the throttle body - either it needs a re-programming or replaced - but it's a main dealer job.

Rang Renault - they said it's most likely a replacement job. said they couldn't give an estimate - they would need the engine number etc. Said they would read the diagnostics for 1/2 hour labour charge (€39 including VAT).

Has anybody else had this problem? Any way of sorting this in the cheapest way possible obviously

    Thanks,
    Keith.
