Ebay: Buyers not paying

    Hi,

I sold four items last thursday. I received one payment, shipped and everything was fine. The three other buys have still not paid. It seems like a long time (maybe i'm impatient). I sent the invoice within an hour of them winning the item.

Yesturday i contacted the buyer just saying i'm awaiting the payment and if there was an issue with the invoice just to let me know. One buyer replied saying she was having problems with paypal and would have the payment complete soon which is fine.

Now for the other two buys what should i do from now on?
    Any advice appreciated,

    :D

Be patient. I have over 1,500 transactions on eBay and only a tiny handful of non-payers. Remember people have offline lives too. :)

Yeah i suppose just usually buying/selling is pretty quick for me.I'm going on holidays next week so i'd love to get them sent off.

What is the longest you'd be expected to wait?

did you have any payment policy on the listings? Usually, a seller puts something like "Payment must be received withing 7 days of auction ending".

Without that, I'd say 7 days is a reasonable time to wait before filing for non-paying bidder.

Yeah I think eBay requests that you wait at least seven days. Maybe email the buyers again and tell them you're going on holidays and won't be able to post their items for two or three weeks after a certain date. If they want it soon they'll have to get their skates on.

Yeah i'll email them tommorrow night which is nearly 7 days and gives me two working days to send out the goods.

I'm going to have a payment policy from now on.i never thought of it as its always been quick.

One of my recent sales, I waited a fortnight for payment. The buyer eventually paid, apoligising and saying they didn't pay as they were sick. Dunno whether they were sick or not, but I did get positive feedback when they received the item.
