itunes - mac code - to prevent default

    hi lads,

    i'm sure i saw a line of code for a mac that prevented itunes reverting back to its default location for music, but i cant find it now?

    Any ideas?

    once you change it in the preferences it should persist.....unless the drive you specify isn't available when you load itunes (i.e. external HD not connected)

    You can select an alternative library by holding down the Option (alt) key while starting iTunes.

    i know but i'm using a external hard drive connected to my network which doesn't always start in time meaning i have to change it, its no big deal just a pain
