    Insurance is up soon.

In rhetorical past I'd normally get three quotes from the AA, Quinn and Axa as they usually all gave the same quote (99 Fiat Punto).

I've now got a Saab 93 and the quotes are a lot more variable. Who else is in the market that are worth while contacting?

All of them. Get the phone book out and ring them all.

Start hitting the broker websites (bestquote, insure.ie etc) and see what they say. The differences can be huge. For a 318 with two drivers, I was quoted in the range of €440 (Axa) to €2,500 (Quinn)

Ring every ins co, and a good selection of brokers.

FBD are worth a look. For me over the last couple of years they've been a fair bit cheaper (Punto too though, but they were cheaper by a fair bit than Quinn & Axa, didn't try the AA).

I was looking for 3rd party for the Wife; been through loads of brokers and online. The best cover (not quite the cheapest) was from insure.ie.

I rang them to see if they could better it on the phone - got fully comp for less than the best online 3rd party quote. It really pays to shop around - just make sure the cover is adequate.
