hard to judge that game. we went down 1-0 and it should have been 2-0, but settle down then to get back into it.

in reality, we could have hit them for 7 or 8 and maybe conceded 1 or 2 more. were gone very quite on the pitch, very little talkign, that needs to be sorted asap as were not getting calls right and are defending nervously as a result. better stuff in the last 20 minutes, just a shame we didnt hit them for 3 or 4 more to close the goal difference gap on Ketamine.

3rd place looks secured so looks like another set of medals for us, but thats nothing really, we need to win this league to show progress. all we can keep do is winning. win the next 2 and the least we get is a chance to take it to the last day and this time, we have a realistic chance.

Caught cold for the first goal, the guy had all the time in the world to shoot. Thought we were good going forward but did leave ourselves exposed a couple of times while attacking. 3 points in the bag.

Yeh in one way you could see Perrem feeling hard done by with a 4-1 scoreline and then on the other hand it's amazing we didn't reach at 7, off the top of my head I can think of 4 clearcut chances we should have buried.

Sluggish start let them into it and yeh it could've been 2 but from early on you could see when we did string a few passes together we were stretching them easily and we were getting time on it up front to hold it up and bring in the runners.

Once again though, we just didn't deal with long balls effectively, it's almost like we're too focused on getting close to the man that we don't see where the ball is actually landing. Someone needs to be on point to do the sweeping up in behind at all times - either a centre-half or the full back coming in from the far side. Collie felt the need to drop deep to win the kickouts in the centre-half area and he did that well but it left us short in the middle for the breaking balls. We addressed that soon enough and for me it meant we then had the platform to build on.

And we did play some really excellent stuff at times. Ciaran was very close to finishing off what for me would've been the best team goal ever scored by Boardeaux. Glad I stretched the old hamstrings beforehand cos for my goal I had to almost kick the ball off your man's shoulder :D Outstanding turn and 25 yarder from Gav for the 4th though I've seen him score almost that exact goal countless times in the past so it was no real surprise.

Keith has become one of our primary outlets at right full and a lot of our best moves are started with the Keith/Dave partnership though it does get plenty of variety with some balls played short to strikers' feet, others played over the top to run onto at times. That variety is exactly what we need and is great to see, need to build towards that on the left side too cos if we can do that we'll be nicely balanced and have many different points of attack.

The Roys 10-1 result against a 7 or 8 man Monks does once again make a mockery of things (and the use of goal difference at this level) but all we can do is focus on what is in our control. I do hope Glenwood don't give us a walkover next week as we need the game for sharpness and I'd prefer us to earn our points and have a chance to close the goal difference gap on Ketamine. Seems Full Irish came close to taking points off Ketamine last night (3-2). If Ravenhill beat Roys next week, it's all back in our hands....here's hoping Eamon and Gary are on top form next week so!
