When is it Worth It?

At what point does a relationship become too much work, to work?

I knew that my OH was something special when we first met about ten months ago. I wasn't sure what, but something was there. We dated all through graduate school, and had our ups and downs, but I recently moved back to the States. Since then we tried LDR (long distance relationships) but it's becoming tough.

So my question to you, boards, is when do you think, a relationship become too much work?

It becomes too much work when you don't think it's worth it any more. Simple answer!

    I dont believe in LDR's

You cant hug a phone and an email wont keep you warm at night.

Life is short and a relationship is something you have with a flesh and blood person.

Do you have a plan as to when both of you will be living in the same location? It is very difficult to sustain a long distance relationship otherwise. Also, how often do you meet face to face - email, phone and skype are all very well, but you need planned face to face meetings.
(speaking as someone currently in a LDR)

It becomes hard work when you start questioning the relationship. I have done LDR and survived without any doubt. You're having doubts. Back to the drawing board.
