I’m looking for details around the gable roof overhang, and soffit detail where a stone clading is to be built.

I aware of building the gable rafter ladder out that bit extra to allow for the thickness of the stone.

However is it the norm to fit a treated soffit board from rafter, right into the block wall ( outside of outer leaf)

Then possibly attached a J trim or similar for a fitting pvc soffit after. Any pitfalls around this area to watch out for?
