    Hi,
I plan to buy 2nd hand iphone and get it unlocked.
I've seen sites listing the difference between 2g and 3G/3Gs phones, saying connection is a lot quicker.
However if I'll be using it at home mainly for internet (probably just at home) would there be a connection speed difference between a 2G and 3G phone?

Or does that only come into play when you're out and about and then want to connect?

    Cheers,
    Pa

You're not going to notice any difference in the speed of a 3G iPhone and a 2G iPhone if you're connected and using the internet over your home's WiFi connection. You'll notice the difference if you want to use the internet over the Edge network (2G iPhone) as opposed to the 3G network though.

chances are when u get it, u'll use it out and about more than u think....Edge is painfully slow for most things, bearly useable imo. Personally i'd go for the 3G...
