Defragment

    I want to defragment my c> drive, but I find that there is no defragmenter installed with my windows XP. What can i do?

    There's a few freeware defragmenting apps out there. Alternatively you could download a trial of something like diskeeper. Using one of the free apps would be best for the long term though. Don't know of any good free defragmenting software.

    Open My Computer.
    Right click your C: drive.
    Go to properties.
    Go to tools.
    Is there no Defragment button there?

    Otherwise you can try this.

    Defrag won't work if cluster sizes are > 4K or something like that
    only affects massive drives (for XP that is) though

    if you don't have at least 15% free space sort that out first as the drive will take ages to defragment and then will fragment back again fairly quickly
